No it is not BYOB
It's a pretty hot spot so it may not be a bad idea to call
No they don't and what they do have is not very flavorful
Great service, amazing pasta made in house, and reasonable prices. Highly recommend!
Nick, the manager of the downtown location, took excellent care of us. We had some issues with our last order and he made good on his promises to take care of us the next time. The food was super fresh and delicious. Pasta was great and the pizza is the best I’ve had outside of NY. We will most definitely be ordering again!
Great DT Waco spot across from the Hippodrome. Truly an Italian restaurant!
Our first time at this restaurant, and we loved it our waiter Rolando was fabulous and the food was even better. We will definitely make this our go-to place in Waco.
Nice place. Good food. Good pasta. I made my own pasta with vegetables. It was delicious.
I liked it I like the sitting area Margaritas are really good food was okay I will go back
Food was great, we had pizza and an Italian dish. The service was outstanding, I will definitely eat here again. Great flavors and customer service. My wife and did arrive a little late but they welcomed us in and took the best care of us.
Excellent customer service. Affordable prices, nice atmosphere. Outstanding food.
I'm a pasta lover and I must say this is terrific food! I was surprised how good the food was at this price! My date is not a big pasta girl, but she loved her food as well. I will post pictures but forgive me bc I forgot what we ordered.
It was hard to focus on the meal due to flies near my dish and a roach crawling on the floor. My dish was hot upon delivery.
We ordered a large pepperoni pizza to-go (because you can't order it for dine-in). It was just ok compared to 900 Degrees Pizzeria (also in Waco). Nick's salad was good, but if you want better pizza, check out 900 Degrees.
The Best Caesar Salad Ever! The food here is really good, my first time, but oh my the Caesar salad is to die for. Everyone at our table had it and agreed. I’m not sure if it was the dressing or lettuce or the fantastic grilled chicken but wow, never had a better one.
Good place to eat nice people you sure dont walk away hungry !!
Will definitely go back.
Worst customer service EVER! The waitress tending to our table kept overlooking us. We waited 10 minutes before getting acknowledged. Water refills were hard to get. The food came out cold..... Then we were told they were running without water due to a water leak. The bathrooms were not working. The owners were very sweet and apologized several times.
Amazing first time experience. Marshall, I believe, was an outstanding waiter. We were hungry and thirsty and he was quick with the multiple refills. The food...ahhhh! My boyfriend & I ordered 4 meals! Pizza, to die for. I got Nona's trio (lasagna, chicken Parmigiana and fettuccine alfredo), and chicken Cremona SPICY. Everything was so tasteful. New favorite place.
Thank you for always being there for us to celebrate all our families birthdays, graduations, and just anytime. The food is our favorite have never had a bad dish. And the whole family can find something to eat on the menu.We love the down town, but so convenient to have one in China spring since we live close. The owners and staff are professional and sweet have used them several times for catering events and have always enjoyed having them at all our events.
The food here is amazing. It's tasted so fresh. Our waitress was awesome too.
Afordable prices . food was good.Good customer service.
Oh my goodness the food was absolutely delicious!
I didn’t expect to get food poisoned from my new favorite restaurant... So I ordered their Salmon Margarita today (for the 3rd time) through the Waitr app. They put tons of oil and the sauce tasted a little bit thin today. After about 30 minutes, I felt really sick and kept throwing up for like 2 hours while feeling I’m gonna die. I’m just glad it’s not the corona virus and I’m feeling much better after that episode. I don’t think I’ll come back again though...
Good food, good prices. The alfredo chicken pizza is exceptional.
Really good service. The food is hot and the fresh bread is amazing.
Love the service and the food is amazing! Please visit this wonderful local establishment. You won't be disappointed. One tip... If you aren't a big eater you should share an entree. They are huge.
Best Italian in town!
My wife and I stopped in on a trip to Waco, looking for a nice place for dinner. The server was very attentive and provided us good recommendations on food. We enjoyed a good mix of food and took desert back to the hotel for later. Our only regret is we couldn't finish all our food, and our fridge at the hotel wasn't staying cold enough, so we couldn't take it with us.
Awsome pizza. Just like old world Italy.
Not my favorite. I ordered a veal scampi that came with no shrimp. I pointed it out and was told it was an error on the menu. I was kind of surprised it was the same price as the veal piccata but had shrimp. Then they told me that since it was their error, they would give me two shrimp. Before the server had said it would be $2 per shrimp if I wanted what I thought came with the dish. The white wine sauce wasn't quite up to par for an Italian place. Probably wouldn't go back. There are far better Italian places. Maybe not in Waco but definitely elsewhere.
Service is great. Atmosphere of family operated establishment. Heavenly bread served with oil and spices as an appetizer before tasty dishes.
This was our first time going. Over all the experience was very good! Our waiter was great! My husband loved the chicken albanese. I got ziti with the pink sauce which was also good although not my fav. I will probably try something new next time, but we will definitely be going back.
Casual, authentic Italian food in the heart of downtown Waco. This little jewel is definitely worth a visit and will likely become a favorite. Fabulous food and modest prices along with attentive service makes this place irresistible!
Having been raised in Pittsburgh, PA and working in some of the best restaurants in that city, Tonight's experience was one to savor! Service was excellent, salad fantastic and the entree was impeccable! We never wanted for a thing, and the price was more than reasonable. If you love Great Italian food and are in Downtown Waco and don't stop in here, You've definitely MISSED OUT!Thanks for the experience. ❤️ Jimmie and Nancy Lewis
Well, every order we received, was not Portifinos quality. Disappointing. My spaghetti and meatballs wasn't good?
Portifino's has a very hole in the wall, small Italian vibe. Our server was new, and you could tell that this was her first server job; regardless she was sweet, and the server training her made sure to pick up where she lacked. We started off with the cheese sticks which were good, but half of them weren't cooked all the way through. Still delicious, hard to mess up cheese sticks. My husband got a pizza and you'd probably be better off getting one of the pasta entrees. I got the nonas trio which came with alfredo, chicken parm, and lasagna. You can tell all the sauces are made from scratch, the alfredo is to die for! and the bread is SO GOOD. We had it with a side of the pink sauce and its the best i've ever had! 90% of everything on the menu is under fifteen bucks which is the main reason for the four stars. For this price, it really can't be beat!
Service was excellent. The marinara was not my favorite.
Beyond 5 stars.. so good. Rolondo was our waiter, top notch, funny, very attentive. I believe this is the best food in Waco hands down. Good sized portions, fair prices. I can't say enough.
I absolutley love this place. My husband and I love to go on date night here. the you can tell the food is authentic. Best fettuccine alfredo I've ever ever tasted
I'm at establishment right now and very pleasantly surprized. Time is 3pm not lunch not dinner regardless food spectacular I'm wanting to eat more disappointed because cannot.. customer service perfect comfortable nice atmosphere reasonable prices and I'll definitely be telling my business associates friends family even strangers portifinos is a Waco Texas MUST. Thank you to staff & owner for making me feel comfortable. Hugs
Good food, great prices. The house salad dressing is fantastic. The service is good. It's a great place for a nice dinner. Everything comes with spaghetti. The only negative is that the dining area could use an update.
Food is very good. Only down side is that management seems to want to charge you extra everywhere you turn. Extra fee for BYOB, extra charge for sharing a plate, extra charge for using charge card and not cash. Also the bathroom doors are curtains, cheaping out on bathroom doors too??
One of my favorite italian places in Waco. The portions are huge and the food is delicious. I always order the chicken cremora because it's so good.
Awesome food and service. I had the portabello ravioli.
Fabulous local spot downtown near the Magnolia stuff. Decent wine selection, fresh pastas and delish pizzas. Salads are fresh (especially for iceberg) and their house tomato vinegarette is tasty and tangy. Friendly staff. Leave room for their huge loaves of fresh baked bread.
Fantastic family restaurant that treated us like members of their family when we visited. Everything was fresh and delicious. Beautiful place and a great location.
Absolutely abysmal service. Way overpriced for the quality of food you get. When we had finished eating the main course the waitress literally tossed the check holder on the table as she walked by--didn't even stop--and didn't bother to ask if we wanted dessert (which we did). Then she took 30 MINUTES to come back for it even though we were the only ones there! For the same quality food you get much better service (and better prices too) at Bella Luna near Hobby Lobby.
Good food. Disappointed by reservation process. Reserved a time and still ended up waited over 45 minutes to eat.
This place is awesome. As authentic as it gets. Definitely worth the visit.
Cozy. Quaint. Clean. Food, wine, and dessert all wonderful. Friendly wait staff. Upscale with real tablecloths and napkins, but great prices. I will dine in again!
Portofino's is really amazing place to get Italian food. The food is really fantastic and presents nicely on the plane. I'm really looking forward to there new location .
The food was delicious! I had the Portofino Supreme, no black olives, and the only thing I was sad about was that I couldn't eat it all. The bread was crispy on the outside and so airy on the inside. Cozy place and dim lighting. Nice for a romantic dinner.
